A Brief Description The VPR 19140-Compound Control System controls a complete refrigeration plant, which can consist of 2 compressor compound resp. chiller systems, the necessary condenser systems and up to 64 Cold Storage Controllers. Each of the cold storages is equipped with an own Cold Storage Controller unit which works independent and interchanges information via databus. The VPR-System outclasses conventional systems based on discrete components: • Less local requirement, less wiring • Dramatically increased functionality, e.g. - Prioritized forwarding of each single error message - Each error message with plain text - Integrated Data Logging System for Actual Values and Setpoints - Direct modem connection, Remote Maintenance possible
• All information appears on the VPR-Screen: - Parameters and values of the whole refrigeration plant - Service informations like Terminal Plans and I/O-States
• Adding new functions by software-update • Expanding of Inputs / Outputs by hardware modules
• More cost-effective for large refrigeration plants
The control inputs are usable as follows: Status signals from compressors and condenser fans, external alarm messages like: oil pressure, hot gas, suction pressure, motor protection, over pressure; message inputs for each compound (refr./freez.), pressure limiter, emergency pressure limiter, low refrigerant, suction pressure monitor; plant alarm message inputs; system message like: peak load limit 1+2, emergency off, loss of phase / asymmetric, external setpoint shift, and much more. |
The most important features
- VPR 19140 controls 2 complete compressor compounds including condenser fans or max. 2 chiller systems with different refrigerant circuits
- Controls up to 64 networked cold storage controllers (CSC "s).
- A backlighted LCD-screen shows the parameters of all plant components, including these of the cold storage controllers.

- Superior cold storage controller management. All values, parameters and states of linked units can be read from the screen, can be remote controlled and processed for optimizing methods.
- Solenoid valves will be controlled foreseeing
- All sensor- / transmitter inputs are monitored, in case of failure the unit continues operation in an emergency mode
- Plant messages like compressor alarm, state messages or similar are captured and handled, compressor / fan motor runtimes are recorded.
- Messages can be distributed to different priority levels and can be forwarded by relay, interface or modem.
- A wide message memory allows to fetch the last messages with clear text, time and date.
- Interfaces for connecting E-Link network, PC and modem.
- VPR has an integrated message report system which forwards alarm messages to a host automatically. The plant can now be observed, and remote controlled by the host.
